There’s a few reasons why my husband and I don’t invest large portions of money into toys for the dogs.
I’ll apologize ahead of time–90% of the pictures have blurry elements to them. It’s the new style in photography!
It starts out innocently enough…
“Ohh so cute”
“Look at her get that hedgehog!
“Yes, I do believe that is the fabric tearing after playing with it for five minutes.”
We’re convinced that Lexi up there either doesn’t know how to play or has A.D.D. and just doesn’t have time for such trivial things.
And this one, Sadie, this is the look she gave me when I took the squeaker away from her. She stares daggers straight through a person.
See how confused she is?
Playing with scraps at this point.

The Aftermath.
Decapitation is never an easy way to go. And he looks TICKED about it! (Pretty shot of my nubby fingers!)
And don’t even get me started with the candy-cane bone in the picture below…

What dog completely ignores a rawhide bone? Spoiled brat dogs do, that’s who.

Hi Everybody! I'm Angela. I love my dogs, adore my husband and try to make the best out of everyday!

My little puppy got a huge rawhide from ‘Santa’ and he won’t touch it either! He’ll eat the little bones and candy canes but totally not interested in the rawhide. He also tears into toys until he can get the squeaker out, which I promptly take away. After that ~ the toys are much less fun to him. Crazy puppy!
This looks just like my dog with stuffed toys. Although he went straight for the face on his Bobo and ripped that right off, followed shortly by the legs and arms.
We got our doggins some presents this year too.
My BDD (big deaf dog) had chewed through the “tough chew rubber” in 5 minutes. And then ate it. Then she ripped through the tennis ball at the end of her tug. Tried to eat it. And managed to unbraid the tug.
The dog that can hear, on the other hand, gets her stuffed squeaky toys when the BDD isn’t around because she actually “plays” with them instead of demolishing them.
It’s sad but the BDD can really only have a Kong and a Nylabone. Everything else becomes kibble.
Bailey likes rawhides, but only if Midori has pre-chewed it for her. She apparently doesn’t like them until they are a bit chewy. HA!
I’m glad I’m not alone on wasting (although I don’t totally consider it a waste) money on stuff I know will be destroyed! It’s so aggrivating but I do actually enjoy watching them destroy the toys!
I had a dog that was the same way…within mins…shredded…
